By now you would have seen the devastation in Haiti caused by the Earth Quake that took place Tuesday, January the 12th. Haiti is in a desperate situation and the coverage and news emanating from the island is nothing short of heart shattering.
It falls upon the shoulders of each and every one of us to contribute where able, and however possible.
You are being called in this time of need to donate to any one of the following causes accepting donations for local relief in Haiti:
1. Canned-and-dry foods drive organized by Karib Cable, Rotary Club of St.Vincent South and the St.Vincent and the Grenadines Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
· Items may be delivered to Karib Cable office
· Monetary donations are accepted at RBTT Bank St. Vincent and Bequia
– account name: Haiti Disaster Relief fund
· Dates for delivery of times: Friday January 15th – Thursday January 21st
2. Canned-and-dry-foods drive organized by RC Enterprises Ltd
· Canned and dry foods and essential personal items only may be delivered to any of the
following RC Enterprises stores:
1. Centrex
2. Voyager 1
3. Voyager 2
4. Grand Bazaar
5. Royal Bazaar
Items will be accepted until the container to be sent is filled
Every once in a while we all get a chance to make a contribution to something greater and this is your chance. This is your chance to have an effect in country that desperately needs it. We ask with complete sincerity that you do what you can by assisting Haiti through one or both of the drives.
